Christian Science Nursing Practice II

This course consists of six weeks’ classroom tuition and is open to those who have demonstrated mastery of the skills taught in Christian Science Nursing Practice I and have the necessary nursing qualities.

The subjects covered in this Course include:

1.	Ethics II – Authenticating the Christian Science nurse’s grounding in the ethics of Christian Science and the understanding of true care. Ethical standards for accepting and withdrawing from Christian Science nursing cases.
2.	Communication II – Formal communication skills (Care plans and Charting) for patients needing wound care.
3.	Home Nursing II - In depth look at the role and responsibilities of the Christian Science nurse caring for a patient in his/her own home environment.
4.	Christian Science Nursing Care Skills II – review and consolidation of previous course material with emphasis on Christian Science home nursing adaptation. Introduction to caring for a patient needing wound care – focusing on Christian Science healing.
5.	Reading Aloud II – ministering to the spiritual needs of the patient – expanding knowledge and reading aloud skills.
6.	Childcare I – nursing basic practical needs of young children and gaining understanding of ethical requirements.
The fee for the classroom portion of the course is £6,300 and for the On-the-Job Instruction portion £5,800. Successful candidates will receive full sponsorship from either Hawthorne Trust Limited or Mountlands Trust Limited.
